Hello Torpedo Families,

Y’all ready to torpedo the Accokeek Swim Team on Saturday?!

Today’s Action Items:

Each week, you will be asked to do these things in SwimTopia by noon Wednesday:

1. Declare whether your swimmer(s) will be participating in Saturday’s meet.

2. Pick which volunteer job your family member(s) will fill at the meet.

3. Indicate what you would like to donate to concessions (home meets only).

Date: Saturday, July 15^, 2023

Location: 2311 Bryan Point Road, Accokeek MD 20607

Important Times:

Arrival: 7:30 a.m.

Warm Ups: 8:00 - 8:20 a.m. (Torpedoes)

Anthem: 8:25 a.m.

Meet Begins: 8:30 a.m.

Concludes: 12:00 noon

Know Before You Go:

Arrive on time.

Bring shade and chairs for your fam.

IHST families will set up on the side of the pool as you walk in, by the baby pool. Canopy space may be limited here.

AST will offer concessions for purchase: breakfast and lunch items.

Swimmers: upon arrival check in with Coach to get your race assignments.

Volunteers: check in with Leigh Sylvain, Meet Manager, about your meet job.

Families are expected to stay until the end of the meet (unless you have coordinated with the Coach) as the Coach doesn’t decide who will swim the final relays until the end of the meet.

Additional Notes:

AST has authorized Mai to take photos at the meet, so long as they’re for team use and not for sale.

If you have Aging Out swimmers and you have not done so already, please email Leigh and Trish a photo of your swimmer(s) and their post-HS plans for inclusion in the CCC program NLT Wednesday morning. That’s when I have to submit them for publication.

If you need a new cap, find Kim Israel at practice, or Trish Dugan at the meet. $10.
