Hello Torpedo Families,

Greenview Gators (GV) will be hosting us at our pool on Saturday because their pool is out of operation. This is a change from the original plan.

Date: July 13, 2024.

Location: Lackey HS Pool.

Important Times:

0700: Arrive

0730 - 0750: Warm-Ups - IHST

0800 - 0820: Warm-Ups - GV

0800 - Officials'/Timers' Meetings

0825: Anthem

0830: Meet Start

1200: Meet Concludes

Today’s Action Items:

Do these 3 things in SwimTopia by noon Wednesday, please.

1. Declare whether your swimmer(s) will be participating in Saturday’s meet.

2. Pick which volunteer job(s) your family member(s) will fill at the meet.

3. Indicate what item(s) you would like to donate to concessions, if any.

The swimmer attendance sign-up will close at noon on Wednesday. Coach Mel must submit the meet entries on Thursday. She is unable to add swimmers once the entries are submitted, so it is imperative that you sign up in a timely manner.

Swimmer sign-ups are now open for every meet throughout the season. If you wish, you can mark your swimmer(s) as Attending or Not Attending in advance.

While Greenview is technically hosting us, we get to run concessions and earn an extra week’s concessions profits!

Know Before You Go:

Arrive on time.

Spectators will all sit in the mezzanine; wet swimmers are not permitted there.

GV swimmers will assemble on the right/front/parking lot-side bleachers.

IHST swimmers will assemble on the left/back/patio-side bleachers.

Swimmers are expected to remain on the bleachers for the duration of the meet.

If you wish to set up a canopy and chairs on the back patio, you may.

IH will offer concessions for purchase. We now accept cards!

Swimmers: upon arrival, check in with Coach to get your race assignments.

Volunteers: check in with Leigh Sylvain, Meet Manager, about your meet job.

Timers: check in with Pui, Nguyen, our Head Timer. Second-half timers: remember which lane you signed up to time in, which first-half timer you signed up to relieve, and be sure to relieve that person, please.

Families are expected to stay until the end of the meet (unless you have coordinated with the Coach) as the Coach doesn’t decide who will swim the final relays until the end of the meet.

Additional Notes:

Please keep in mind that the meet will be held at Lackey high school this Saturday.

This is the last week of practice for swimmers not participating in Divisionals.

Please declare your swimmers for Divisionals.

Concessions donations are optional, but we are grateful for any you are able to make. We also need donations for this Saturday. Anything you are able to donate means more funds for the Torpedoes!

If you need to purchase an additional IHST swim cap at the meet, you can do so at concessions.
