This weekend marks our 5th and final regular season meet as we take on Greenbelt Municipal! — Let’s keep this wave going!
I attached a July calendar to help provide clarification on schedule for the next few weeks.
We have a busy weekend ahead of us with a meet Saturday, and Charles County Championships Sunday! The good news is that both are being held at McDonough, so the commute is short – but that means we need the team present in full force, ready to make it a smooth and successful weekend!
Other Reminders:
This week (July 7th to 11th) is the final week for “normal” full team practice. Mornings will continue at Lackey High School and evenings at McDonough High School.
Weather looks questionable so keep an eye on notifications/alerts.
Starting next week, Monday, July 14th, practice will only be for swimmers invited to participate in the Division C Championship meet, where each team we have faced off against so far this season sends their top 2 swimmers per event to face off for the Division C Title, trophy, and bragging rights for the year! If you have not yet declared your availability for Divisionals, please do so ASAP.
The list of Swimmers invited to participate in Divisionals will be sent next Sunday, 7/13
Charles County Championships
On Sunday, July 13th, we are hosting the Charles County Championship meet at the McDonough Pool. This is a “bonus meet” where the Bannister, Hawthorne, Smallwood, and Westlake swim teams will join us for a Chuck County Showdown!
Tonight, we have a seed meeting – the names on the list below are ABSOLUTELY swimming and have a lane reserved. I have also sent a list of alternate swimmers – if other teams do not have a swimmer for an event, we have an opportunity for additional entries, so THIS LIST MAY GROW!
I will have a FINAL list and specific event entries by tonight. If something changes and you are no longer able to attend, please let me know ASAP.
