Practice Schedule Updates

Dear Indian Head Swim Team Families,

As we prepare for the start of our season, we want to provide an important update regarding how practices will be structured from May 26 through June 19, as well as what to expect once school is dismissed for the summer.

During the May 26–June 19 period, our temporary practice adjustments are necessary to prioritize the safety of our swimmers, ensure that the quality of instruction remains at the highest standard, and continue to meet the expectations of our parents and families. After carefully considering all factors and evaluating every available option, we concluded that this modified schedule is the best way to proceed for the early‑season period. All practices during this time will run in two time slots: 5:30–6:30 PM and 6:30–7:30 PM at St. Charles High School, Donald M. Wade Aquatics).

Practice Schedule for May 26–29

Transition to Full Summer Schedule Once school ends, we will transition immediately into our full summer practice structure. At that point, swimmers will follow the schedule that corresponds to the time period they registered for (morning or evening) and the location they selected (St. Charles High School or La Plata High School).

The summer schedule will be as follows:

Morning Practices - St Charles High School (Donald M. Wade Aquatics Center)

  • 07:00–08:00 AM
  • 08:00–09:00 AM

Evening Practices - La Plata High School

  • 5:30–6:30 PM
  • 6:30–7:30 PM

Finalized practice times and group assignments will be sent shortly.

Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and continued support as we work to provide a safe, organized, and positive experience for all swimmers. Please reach out with any questions.

Sincerely, IHST Board
